Indian big guns under scathing critisim

Former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar lashed out at top Indian batters for their poor shot selection including Virat Kohli's shot selection chasing a wide ball, who fell 49, while chasing a huge score of 444.
"To the match you needed a long innings, a century plus innings but how are you going to do that if you play a shot so far outside the off stump".

Indian media over defeat in WTC

Indian Express lamented the team efforts by recalling 2021 WTC defeat and how they were sleepwalking into same problems.
" It seemed like a rerun of an old movie or a copycat with minor tweaks in the script,  or hastily cobbled up sequel with same arcs but different settings, it said.
Times of India headline read as"sustained failures on big occasions".
Is it time for a transition and a phasing out of some senior batters as next WTC cycle begins for India from the West Indies tour in July and August ".
