Pakistani spinners dominated the 4th day's play Galle International Stadium as Sri Lankan team bowled out at 279 giving  Pakistan 131 runs total to win the match.

Pakistani sppiners Nauman Ali and Abrar Ahmad and Agha Salman deterred Sri Lankan batsmen to pile up big score in 2nd innings both Abarar Ahmad and Nauman Ali claimed 3 wickets apiece while Agha Salman and Shaheen took two wickets each. 


Sri Lanka's 2nd innings batting 

Sri Lanka's first wicket fell at 42 when Karunaratne catch out by Agha Salman on the bowling of Abrar Ahmad. 

Sri Lanka's 2nd wicket fell at 79 when Kushal Mendis lbw out by Nauman Ali. 

Sri Lanka's 3rd wicket fell at 91 when Angelo Mathews caught by Babar Azam on the bowling of Nauman Ali.

Fourth wicket fell at 99 when got out at scoring 52 runs on the bowling of Nauman Ali, Sarfraz Ali took catch behind the wickets. 

Sri Lanka's 5th wicket fell at 159 when Danesh Chandimal got out by Salman Agha at the score of 28 caught by Imam ul Haq. 

6th wicket fell at 175 when Samarawickarma fell at 11 by Salman Agha caught by Abdullah Shafique. 

7th wicket fell at 251 when Ramesh Mendis got  lbw on the bowling of Abrar Ahmad after scoring 42 runs.

8th wicket fell at 269 when Dananjaya De Silv got out on the bowling of Shaheen Afridi behind the wickets after scoring 82 runs, highest individual score by Sri Lankan batsman.

9th wicket fell at 274 when prabath Jayasuria got out by Shaheen Afridi at the score of 10.

Sri Lanka last wicket fell 279 runs when K. Rajitha got out by Abrar Ahmad at the score of 5.

Pakistan's first wicket fell at 16 when prabath Jayasuria got Abdullah Shafique at the score 8 in innings 7th over.

Prabath Jayasuria took 2nd wicket of Shan Masood at score 36 caught Madushka. 

Night watchman Nauman Ali run out at the score 38.

At the end of 4th day's play scored 48 runs for the lost of three wickets. 

Imam ul Haq and captain Babar Azam were on crease after scoring 25 and 6 runs respectively. 

Pakistan need 83 runs to win the match on 5th day.

Pakistani team is in commanding position and more likely to win the match to repeat previous years result on same ground when Pakistan achieved historic win by chasing 342 runs in 2nd innings. 

Babar Azam 

Social media users piled up applause for Pakistani captain Babar Azam for marvellous fielding exhibition in slip as well as right decisions as captain to curtail Sri Lanka to a modest total. 

On 4th day's play when Sri Lanka started their innings, captain Babar Azam forthwith handed over bowl to spinners who produced results immediately in the shape of early wickets. 

Likewise when new ball was due, captain Babar Azam immediately handed over new ball to Shaheen Afridi who took two wickets to wipe out Sri Lankan batting lineup.
