Repetition of desecration of Quran in Sweden outrages Muslim world



Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif condemned the repetition of desecration of Quran in Sweden in  strongest words and expressed his firm resolve to launch a campaign to end the desecration of holy book in nordic state.


First incident of desecration of Quran in Sweden 


On July 28, Salwan Momika, a 37 years old Iraqi charistian who got asylum in Sweden 🇸🇪 in 2018 on religious basis,  burned Quran, the holy book of Muslims, under police protection on the eve of Eid ul Adha in front of Stockholm's grand mosque igniting fury among Muslims all over the world. 


2nd incident of desecration of Quran in Sweden 


Again on 20th July 2023, Salwan Momika carried out protest in Stockholm and stomped on and kicked of holy book of Quran in front of Iraq's embassy in Stockholm Sweden triggering severe backlash from muslim majority counties threatening to sever ties and boycotting the Swedish products.

Pakistani Government strongly condemned the desecration of holy book Quran in the garb of freedom of expression deeply hurting the Muslims all over the world. 


After repetition of desecration of Quran, the holy book Muslims, outrage poured out over this vile act.


Major protest occurred in Iraq 🇮🇶 where protesters stormed into swedish embassy on thursday and set it on fire.
Iraqi prime minister Mohammed Shia al Sudani expelled Swedish envoy from Iraq and also recalled his country's charge de'affaires from Sweden as well as Ericsson,  a Swedish telecom company stopped to continue work at Iraqi soil. 



Earlier this year, on 21 January 2023, Rasmus Pludan, a Danish far- right anti muslim politition, burned Quran in Copenhagen in front of Turkiye's embassy. 

All muslim majority counties termed desecration of Quran as hate crime to provoke the muslim over violence.

Muslims took to streets to strongly condemn this act of hatred in Pakistan, Indonesia,  Iran, Iraq, Lebanon , Turkiye and many other countries.

Kuwaiti government has decided to print 100,000 copies of Quran translated in Swedish to show people tolerance of Islamic religion, spreading Islamic principles and values and positive coexistence among all human beings in an atmosphere of love, tolerance and peace.

Pope Jhon Paul also condemned the desecration of  Quran the holy book of Muslims.

Turkiye issues arrest warrants for Rasmus Pludan a far-right Danish politition in the wake of burning of Quran in Copenhagen in front of a mosque back in January this year.
